Okay so here’s where I’m at; I’ve been playing guitar off and on now for about 6 years. I haven’t improved much at all because I’ve never had any formal training. My fingers are really skinny so I easily get frustrated and haven’t played much at all. I really good with chords and I can read tabs and figure out tabs but I can’t can’t improv or play improvisational blues at all. I’m looking for a site that will help me learn all the notes on each string so I can learn how to improvise and figure out which chords, riffs and scales sound good with eachother can anyone help me out???
and please don’t suggest I go and get Guitar lessons because I have absolutely no money.

The best way to learn man is to put on your favorite tracks and just jam out. Go through the scale positions until you find one that fits. Try to create riffs and harmonies on your own using a simple pentatonic. After a while your improv skills will strengthen as well as your ear.
